The Project Management Office (PMO) at Atea Managed Services (AMS) is a team of 8 professionals delivering key project‑related services across the organization – including project and portfolio management, resource and benefits management, organizational change, and supporting tools.

The PMO drives initiatives within service development, capability and operational excellence, many of which are closely tied to AMS’s strategic objectives and bring real change to how we work across the organization.

As part of AMS’s ongoing transformation towards ONE unified Nordic and Baltic organization, the PMO continues to evolve, develop new capabilities, and increase maturity as the organization grows.

Your role

The PMO in AMS is looking for a PMO specialist that – together with management and the rest of the team - will ensure the continual delivery and improvement of the PMO services.

The main focus will be on the Resource Management service effectively taking ownership of the service end-to-end which entails both being the subject matter expert in supporting the organization in tool usage and in process and governance-related matters all but also a tactical approach in driving Resource management improvements and working with stakeholders throughout the organization as necessary. As a result, you will have a key role in the ongoing effort to change the current tool-base from Projectum Power PPM and Team Planner to ServiceNow and ensure that the functionality required is present after the transition and that any documentation related is updated accordingly. This project has a time frame of 12-18 months after which we will enter a new operational state.

Alongside this the PMO specialist will work to support the entire PMO including management in creating transparency and information out of the large amount of data available on the 200-250 running projects. That involves working with the Business Intelligence specialists in specifying useful reports which can be included in the monthly report for the Project Portfolio Board. These reports can be created on your own initiative but also on management specifications but regardless, it will require you to gain familiarity with our systems and a persistent focus on the data in them.

As the PMO specialist is a broad role covering all the PMO services to a lesser or greater extent you will be involved in many activities and improvements, and you will have a great opportunity to shape this role in the future. One thing is for sure is that it is a dynamic role in a vibrant organization in the middle of a transformation so no two days will be alike.

Who are you?

To thrive as a PMO Specialist, we value relevant skills, but even more so a genuine eagerness to learn, develop, and be an active part of shaping and growing our PMO.

These skills are mainly:

  • Projectum Power PPM & Team Planner (or similar)
  • ServiceNow especially the Project Module (or similar)
  • MS O365 including CoPilot
  • Data analysis and sense of structure
  • A good general understanding of project management and PMO
  • Customer focus and altogether people skills allowing you to work closely with stakeholders
  • Proactive and independent thinker but excellent team player.

Your background may be multi-faceted, but it is likely that you have a university degree and 5-10 years’ work experience, perhaps even from a PMO in a similar role in a large IT organization. You might even have worked as a project manager or an IT business analyst. You do however need experience from a complex IT Organization.
