A fire extinguishing system was accidentally activated yesterday at Global Connect in Taastrup, which houses one of Atea’s data centers. It has damaged a number of systems, primarily storage systems.

In close cooperation with our storage and server vendors EMC and IBM, we first mapped out the extent of the damage and isolated the affected disk systems.

Many of these have since been re-activated, others have called for a detailed analysis by experts at our vendors. Based on this analysis, we initiate action plans for the affected systems.

Many customers are back in full or partial operation and others will follow. We are in dialogue with the affected customers and will keep you updated.
